Answers to the common questions
Who can become a partner?
Any TapPresence customer or introducer in good standing can apply. Approval is manual and usually same-day. Choose the track that fits you — Individual, Creator, or Agency — when you apply.
How are commissions calculated?
Commissions are a percentage of the invoice-paid amount (excluding tax, refunds and processing fees) on each active paid subscription attributed to you. Your rate is set by the total active-seat count across all attributed customers, refreshed automatically.
How and when do I get paid?
We run a manual payout cycle each month. Once your approved commissions in a single currency clear the $50 minimum (or local equivalent), we send a payout on the next monthly cycle. You provide your preferred payout details in the partner portal.
What's the difference between the referral link and a discount code?
Your referral link attributes anyone who signs up through it for 90 days — no discount is applied. A partner discount code applies an actual discount at checkout AND attributes the customer to you. Both earn commissions the same way.
How does attribution work?
Attribution is last-touch within a 90-day window. If a visitor comes through your link, then later through another partner's link inside the 90 days, the most recent partner wins. Once a workspace pays its first invoice under an attribution, that partner is locked in for the life of that subscription.
Do RevenueCat / mobile in-app purchases count?
The Partner Program tracks web checkouts through Stripe. Mobile in-app subscriptions purchased inside the iOS or Android app do not go through our Stripe billing and are not commissionable.
What happens if a customer refunds?
If the underlying payment is refunded, disputed, or charged back, the related commission is reversed automatically. If it had already been paid out to you, a clawback is recorded and deducted from your next payout.
Can I refer myself?
No. Self-referral — using your own referral link or discount code on a workspace you own — isn't allowed. Attribution to your own account is stripped and the commission is voided. Repeated attempts can suspend your partner account.
Can my discount code stack with other promos?
No. Partner discount codes can't be combined with other promotional codes at checkout. A customer can only apply one code per checkout — attribution and discount both flow through whichever code they use.
Can I sell to teams and enterprises?
Yes. Individual, Team and Enterprise plans are all commissionable. Team plans that bill per seat count each active seat toward your tier — a 20-seat sales team on an annual plan is a serious recurring commission.
Which countries can join?
The Partner Program is open globally, wherever TapPresence is available and wherever we can legally send payouts. If your country is under sanctions or otherwise ineligible for our payout system, we may be unable to approve you — we'll let you know at review.
